Expat-owned Businesses in Spain

Posted by The Expatriator

Spain Expat's list of links to businesses run by expats in Spain.

More and more expats come to Spain not only for the Spanish lifestyle, but also looking to capitalise on the opportunities created by an expanding EU economy, Spain being the 3rd most popular tourist destination in the world (Ed: as of 2005, the 2nd most popular), and the thousands of other expats seeking to do the same.

This is a directory of businesses owned and run by entrepreneurial expats living in Spain. Real estate companies can be found on the real estate page.

Martin,
Glad you like the site! I've moved your comment to this, our page for expat owned businesses.

Your question is rather specific and you may find it difficult to get an answer. Your best bet may be to take a trip to Fuengirola to find other restauranteurs to discuss this with.

Try some of the other sites that sell businesses to expats. I think you've found one of them. Also try the good folks at http://spaincorp.com/ who not only set up businesses for English speakers, but may also be able to help you with finding and transacting real estate.

Best of luck with your endeavours!

I have just joined your wonderful website I haven't had chance to have a good browse yet but I am sure it will fun and informative.

I have a question for anyone who can help us please.
We are tentatively making plans to buy a business in Fuengirola, a small restaurant. I know this question is rather an open ended one but I would like to find out from someone who is already running a restaurant of about 20 to 30 covers how much money on average you would take in any given day, week, Obviously a lot depends on location etc and what your living expenses are... for your info we have two boys aged 13 (twins) we would eventually be looking at buying a property to live in as well The bottom line then...can it be done? We are not work shy, ..I am hoping to fly out early June time.
We would very much appreciate your help..I have been looking at businesses on the Fiesta property web site any suggestions for agents would be very helpful too

Yours in anticipation

Me and my two children are thiniking of quitting the uK next July and I would like to know which schools would be the best to send them to my daughter will be 7 and my son 11. We are thinking about the Torrremollinos area, I will be able to work from home doing book keeping free lance for various UK companies, however my husband who is a taxi driver has been told it would be very easy to set himself up a taxi driver in the Costa del sol as there are so many Golf courses so lots of partys to take up and down to the airport. Anyone help with advice, we would have to get a mortgage but they seem to only take 35% of your income into account, is this right? I would be grateful if anyone knows lots of info on above. many thanks
