I can highly recommend the small family run bodgea in Rioja - Martinez Bujanda.

CNVE (co-operative) in Rioja is another favourite of mine.

I also rate very highly the ‘Vino de la Tierra’s’ - as some have excellent quality even though they have not been awarded
consejo status.

I think there is no better wine than the Viña Tondonia Reserva 2001! I just love it! Thanks for opening this thread! it makes me want to sit on my couch and drink a glass of wine…!
