We’re looking at the feasibility of moving our business to Spain. We have a company with two distinct business areas using the same equipment. We produce laser engraved photo murals and artwork on marble, granite, slate and tile for upscale residential and commercial projects. We hand colourize them too. The other products we concentrate on is plexi - edge lit point of sale signage and in-store illuminated graphic for bars, restaurants etc. We intend to take a 3 week trip this summer to investigate different areas of Spain and look at the potential market for our product. I’m an Architect by training and worked as a film production designer internationally prior to opening our current business. I’m thinking, off the top of my head, that our customers would initially be expat businesses and residents with large houses that want something unique. Anyone have any pointers or suggestions about areas we should look at? I’m thinking of staying away from the high density urban centers - too much established competition, I suppose. Also, we’re not married to our current line of products and are aware that we would possibly have to adapt to the local market. We’d be initially looking to rent a long term apartment when we decide on an area and would look at buying something later.

Hi glint,
i am moving to spain this year, a place just outside nerja 45min from malaga. Nerja is a beautiful town still very spanish but quite alot of expats in and around this area. i dont know if i have understood your buisness right. But if i have i would use you. I lost my son who is buried in england, one thing i am dreading is not been able to visit the cemetary. I will need someone to put his photo on a peice of marble so i can create a place for him in our new garden. Is this something you do ?

Hi Kieth, thanks for the info on Nerja, i’ll have to do a bit of research into the area. The memorial plaque is definitely something we do. I’m not too sure how this board works but pherhaps you could PM me your telephone number and I could call you to discuss what it is you have in mind and exlain what we do. My private email is .. Marble is certainly an option but even more durable in exterior applications is granite.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
