Mexican-American looking to move to Spain

Hello!

I visited Barcelona in March and fell in love with the city. I would love to move back in September. My concern is the work permit issue and finding a job with the current economic crisis.

I am a Mexican-American (with two passports) with a strong command of both languages, English being my native language since I grew up in the states and done all my academic work in English. I have a Master?s degree in Public Administration from a reputable Midwest University. I also have experience teaching English to Med Students at a University in Mexico City. For years, I have worked as a translator and interpreter in Chicago and in Mexico.

I am tired of Chicago and would love to move and settle in Barcelona. I would appreciate some insight as to how difficult it is to find work, obtain a work permit as an American citizen.
