Hi Everyone,
Looking for a quick bit of advice.
In the UK we take copies of an employees passport, visa stamp etc to show that we have checked that they have the Right To Work in the UK. The fine for not checking and the employee potentially not having the Right To Work is ?10,000 so it’s really important for us to do!
I am a bit stumped as to what information i have to take from employees in Spain to show that we have checked that they have the Right To Work here? I have called the Spanish consulate etc and looked online but haven’t found the answer…
Is anyone able to help me out?
All advice appreciated! Thank you,
Beth

Hi Bethan,
Not sure - but guess it would be safest to seek professional advice.

Our tax advisor is great on these matters. PM me if you would like her details 😊
