Form EX18 Question

Hi there :)

Hope someone can help with this. I have had a nose around the forum but can't find an answer to this particular question. It is regarding getting my Spanish residency with form EX18. My question is, do I as the applicant have to submit the form in person or can someone else do it for me? I ask because section 2 on the form 'datos del presentador de la solicitud' makes it look as though someone can do it on your behalf.

I am living in Barcelona (temporarily) and do not want my current (cash in hand) address printed on my residence certificate. Rather I would like it to be my parents' address which is the address on my NIE certificate and they live down near Benidorm. So my question is can they apply for me at the extranjeros place down there??

I am a UK\EU national if that makes a difference

Thanks so much and looking forward to any help you can give!!

Good question - there certainly was talk of all applicants having to present themselves in person - althought this was met with opposition by property agents etc who campaigned that this was difficult for some of their clients - and yes the form (out of date?) does suggest you can have a gestoria or other apply on your behalf.

The UK in Spain site (a good source of info) says "....Applications will be filed in person in the Immigration Office of the province where they intend to reside or in the relevant Police Station." in their update of July 18th

So maybe you need a trip to Benidorm!
