I am an American citizen who married my Spanish husband this past summer in the US. We are aware of the 2 year wait to get a family book in Spain via the central registry and so are considering getting married in Spain as well to speed up the process. Anyone know if this is legal? Illegal? or simply “alegal”—meaning the law doesn’t specify either way.  Thanks!

Good question. Never heard of this as a solution but it makes sense. I wish I had a definitive answer for you but if you find out please post back so we all know!
