Hello all -
My wife and I are U.S. citizens and have been thinking about making a move to Spain which would require us to find a new job(s) and also have a pet. The move to Spain would be for 3-5 years which is our preference. We're are not sure what steps we need to take first as this is our first time looking to move out of our country.

Any advice on what we would need to do next would be greatly appreciated! My wife is a Nurse here in the U.S. and I work in I.T. so we're not really sure how difficult it would be to find a job in either. I hear how difficult it can be to obtain working visa's and such but I do not want to let that discourage me from our goal to move to Spain.

Since neither of us is transferring to a job in Spain, do we need to find a job before we apply for visa's?

Much thanks,

Oscar

I am English and to get a visa to work was the easiest part.

May be more difficult from the US but still possible.

The hardest part is finding a job and if you both don't speak Spanish then expect this to be 10x harder.
