Hi - This is my first post on the forum.
I’m a UK national with Spanish parents, british husband, and moved to Spain (Toledo capital) some 13 years ago. Together with a partner, we want to start a commercial hydroponics business to produce and sell lettuces. We’ve done a fair bit of market research, successfully set up a hydroponics greenhouse on our own land (we have a hectare at home), and have successfully cultivated 600 lettuces. We’ve also, of course, been in touch with distributors whop are keen to buy from us, and we are in the throws of writing the business plan.
Can anyone advise me if presenting the plan to banks is the right way to go given the current economic climate, and the chances of being accepted? We need a capital investment of some ?300,000. Naturally, the financial institutions we approach will require collateral for which we would use our house (valued at approx ?750,000). Monthly expenditure would be approx ? 10,000, and yearly gross income approx ? 275,000.
Thanks.
