Hi, my husband and I are looking to move out to Spain hopefully this year with our 5year old twins. I was wondering if any body has any advice for where to look for work. We were initially looking at Torrevieja in the south, because he knows someone who has moved out there, and property and cost of living there is low, but I can't seem to find much info about jobs around there.
Just really would like any advice on finding a job, schools, property please thank you.

Hi . I don't really know the area (I'm in Madrid), but you can look for work at the local Oficina de Empleo ( Job Centre) or I got a job originally through the British Council who had an agreement with the consejer?a de Educaci?n (education dept) in Madrid . I worked at a school out here and then through Berlitz Academia de Idiomas. I too have a TEFL certificate. There are language schools called escuela de Idiomas or Academias (Academies). You can also contact the SEPE ( used to be the INEM, Instituto Nacional de Empleo, or National Employment Institute). http://www.sepe.es/contenido/intermedia.html, which regulates and develops employment in Spain. My job was at a Bilingual school (colegio biling?e) . Over the years, the government has tried to increase the level of English in schools. You can check if there are bilingual schools in the area you want to live in, if that's where you want to work.
I looked in newspapers or on the Internet. I can speak and read Spanish but it depends how good yours is.
Sorry I can't offer more advice.
Best of luck!
Katherine
