Hi All,

I am non-EU citizen and will go to Barcelona for my master study for 1-2 years.
At this moment & for the last 5 years I have EHIC E-111 insurance from the Netherlands (Aevitae / Aon-Hewitt) as I just graduated from there.

The question is, can I just use my Netherlands insurance in Spain since it says it covers worldwide (and from my experience in Germany during internship I can).

The reason I would like to still using my current insurance is because when I was in the Netherlands I am diagnosed with Ankylosyng Spondylitis and been treated with BioAgent, so in this case I will go back to Amsterdam every 6 months to pick up my medicine and take it to Spain, and the insurance card will be just in case something happens with me in Spain.

Or is it better to also apply for Spanish insurance?

Moreover can someone tell me state hospital in Barcelona that has Rhuma department?

Thanks
