Hey all, been considering pretty heavily a move to Spain (most likely Barcelona) next July. I've been scouring the site for the past few weeks now, which has only been adding to the driving need I'm feeling to get out there. Before I do that though, I'd like to know how feasible it is to get a job in my current career - Network Engineering, particularly Telecom stuff (mostly Cisco technology, but a bit of Microsoft and Unix as the need arises). Are there any good websites I can use to scope out potential jobs in Barcelona ahead of time? I've paid a visit to www.cbjobs.es but haven't found much else as of yet.

I'm also considering just teaching English or looking for a job tending bar (or somesuch thing) until I've been there a bit and know more of where to look. Would that be the better course?

You need to search for networking jobs from other countries with offices in Spain.
Try searching the following website:

www.jobserve.com ...with Spain in the location bar...

I found a job through Craigslist with an American Company with offices in Madrid. Here is the page for Barcelona http://barcelona.en.craigslist.es/jjj/
Sometimes there is just rubbish but you might get lucky like i did. Otherwise there is also Michael Page recruitment and of course Monster.
