All Internet Options in Marbella

Hi,

i am looking to find out ALL the different options for getting internet here in marbella. I am trying to run an office with 4 voip telephones and have not had much success so far.

the ones i already know about as the following:

Telefonica ADSL: not the best but not the worst, i have heard changing the router can significantly improve service?

The Connectivity Warehouse: a wireless wide area network apparently with their own backbone not using Telefonica (i haven't had great results)

Iberbanda: not used them personally, but here they are not the most reliable? I see they also do a business package with lower contention ratio, would this improve quality?

Other options I have heard of but can't find out whether they are available in marbella are the following: ONO Cable, BT Arrakis, Jazztel, Orange, etc.

Has anyone got anything else to add to the list? Or offer any comments on the ones I have mentioned? I am particularly interested in BT Arrakis, does anyone know anything about them?

Thanks for your input.

I don't know how much bandwidth your phone connection need but I somehow get the feeling from your post that you are not looking for the expensive T connections.

I have tried a few different ADSL options over the years and of the ones I have tried Telefonica has been the best for landline ADSL.

I don't know if you have your local yet but if you can get it near the node then you will get very much better bandwidth with whatever option you select, I live across the road from the node in Fuengirola and my bandwidth has always been excellent for the plan I have been on with them, the further away you are the poorer it gets.

Friend has tried one of the Satellite systems (Can't remember which), great bandwidth but he had problems where they used to close ports down on him.

Hope this helps

I have the telefonica Combo all in one Tv, Internet, phone is the best for the price not the usual speeds that i just to get in Miami but fairly good! I lived in the area of Marbella Puerto Banus. Iberband is a wifi system not so reliable. I know there is an ono service but my neighbor has it and it is a disaster???????? Best internet that i've ever had was comcast down in Florida (U.S) i was flying between 15-20 mb download speeds for $ 34.99 dollars like 25.00 euros a monht???????

Well the comcast package that i had in Miami was 34.95 dollars just the broadband speeds up to 20 mb downloading????? If you wanted to have the whole combo with digital cable and phone there is a Special 99.99 dollars per month????? Well i had the internet service with comcast and Digital cable with all the premim channels i paid almost 169.00 dollars but i had over 450 channels insane!!!!!! I had my regular phone with AT&T;. Now AT&T;gives you the same as Comcast for 99.99 dollars DSL/Cable/Phone the Cable is provided by directv satellite not so good the package compare to comcast. Besides that there is a bunch of companies offering ADSL or wireless broadband??? But once again telefonica is the best in spain.

In regards to DSL or Broadband/Cable modem this last one is much better than dsl because not only gives more speeds for downloading thru it broadband fiber optic system also broadband offers the highest upload too. But ono overhere is not that good?????
