Motorcycle insurance & restrictions

We're moving to Spain next year and are just about to do our direct access bike tests. I will be riding a Honda CB500 and my boyfriend will also be riding a 500cc.

We're worried that Spanish law won't let us ride 500cc bikes in our first year.

Does anyone know if we will be allowed to ride our bikes over there. Do they reconise the UK direct access license?

If they don't recognise it, will we have to follow to Spanish rules and ride small bikes in our first couple of years or can we bypass their rules by riding UK insured and UK plated bikes?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Take a peek in www.dgt.es. There you will find all the information: it is the Goverment?s page.

Why don?t you introduce yourself in the Forum first like everybody does?
