Internet either dialup or ADSL

Hi Everyone

We have had a house here for 5 years, and do have an up and running Telefonica line, we are now able to spend more time out here, and need to sort out how, and how cheaply we can get the internet.

We are in the Torrevieja area, so I understand there is no problem with ADSL, but we are only here for a couple of months 3 times a year, and feel it is a waste to get a full year contract, though it may be the only way.

Currently I am using either Telefonica or GoNuts to dial up, but the connection keeps dying, so is driving me mad. 30? a month on top of the Telefonica line seems a little excessive the the amount of time we are here too. Yes there are the local internet cafe's which seem to charge 1? for 15 mins. Though I have found the Telefonica shop in the basement of Habeneras very good and got about an hour for 1?. I prefer to do my surfing from home.

Does anyone know of a dial up connection which is reasonable so I can dial up any time, currently I try to hit the cheap rate times, and one which does not die every 5 - 20 minutes for no reason? Or does anyone offer a pay as you use ADSL or a contract where you can pay for a month at a time?

Surely there are others like me and there is a demand for this type of service.

Thanks
DG

We have a quad house, and only one permanent resident who is not into PC's, there are a couple with ADSL a couple of streets away, and if I am stuck and need a big download they do let me use their PC and put it on a USB key. No sign of a Wireless Network about unfortunately.

Else yes, I would have been offering to share. Will keep looking.

jurdyr - How far do these pick up, as I know all my neighbours and their PC abilities (or lack of them) I would have to look at the next urbanisation to find one.

We are in the Villa Rosa H-1 area of Oriheula Costa. If it has that sort of range then I should find one on the Serena's. Quite a few permanents and many long time permanents from Germany.
