Hi all,

My husband and I will be moving out of Spain to Gib soon and want to cancel our Telefonica Contract. I understand we have to fax telefonica to cancel our telephone line and internet.  Does anybody know how long this will take and what are the penalty charges for this?

kind regards,
Alina

Supposedly I wont’ have to pay any charges to cancel the line (I’ve asked them already). There’s not contract or anything. As for how long? Hmm, I think it’s about a week or so

Edit: Maybe just called them up on 1004 and ask them! wink

Hi

I’m trying to cancel a phone contract from the UK, i’ve tried calling different numbers but can’t get to speak to anyone in English.

I understand i need to fax them a signed letter etc - could anyone possibly find out the fax number for me (by dialling free 1004) and what needs to be on the fax?

Thanks

Couldn’t find a Fax number, but I did find this:

• The Telefónica services Net (Internet access with Tarifa Plana, additional Email accounts, domains, Canguro Net, Antivirus, Firewall, security packs, etc.): Can be cancelled by calling Servicio de Atención al Cliente de Telefonica Net: 902 357 333.

• To cancel the rest of the Telefónica services for home use (including ADSL and Tele), please contact (the infamous) 1004.

If all else fails you could simply stop paying them.

Well I’ve just spoken with Telefónica, on 1004, and they told me to ring 11825, which I did.  They gave me another number, 91 704 0319.  However, although this number does ring, no one picks up the phone.  But the girl did tell me that the Madird number was for international calls so maybe they filter out national calls to this number.  You could always try this from the UK.

OK.  Another approach :

Below is the customer service number of O2 (a Telefónica Company).  It’s just possible that they may be able to find you a Spanish Telefónica number to ring from the UK:

O2 UK Customer service centre: 0870 5214 000

You could also try this :
