Can someone tell me how much it cost to run a car in Spain ie. fuel, mot, service etc.

Hola Belinda, Depends on the car!! Suggest fuel, servicing and ITV (Spanish MOT) about 30% CHEAPER. I have found Insurance to be very similar to UK so no significant savings. Road tax is much cheaper average say 70 EUROS (depends on type of car and where it is registered as it is a provincial tax). There is a transfer tax when cars are bought and sold - again depends on car/age/region. Purchase costs - new - now probably similar to UK (as UK prices have dropped ??) SECOND HAND - probably DEARER than UK as depreciation is less in Spain and there is not a glut of 2nd hand vehicles (much less company cars here flooding 2nd hand market). Good luck.
