found E4 now aswell FTA on 28e.......
E4 FTA 10729 v 22000 5/6 Channl name appears as -->> 8389
all fine now...E4 FTA,E4+1 FTA,CH4 FTA,more4 FTA,more4 +1 FTA ...
i have a few "dodgy" boxes but it would be no fun without 'em...LOL
Chaneel 4 is working 100% again
the lanch off the Uks free to air happen next few days
so you have Bbc 1 2 3 4 and regions Itv 1 2 3 4 Channel 4 E4 More4 music4

What do you mean "a lot more" ?
The new ones are Channel 4, More 4, E4.
The other ones were FTA already 2 years ago...

have you hd box ? there more channels free there and five up there aswell

Hello there,
Would appreciate some help/advice on getting any English channels. My set-up is as follows at the moment: I have a Freeview box (brought from the Uk) and can get all the Spanish free to air stations. What would I need to get the BBc etc channels?
I DO have a satellite dish (from the previous owner) is there anything I can do or buy to get this working perhaps?
I am in the Arenales del Sol region

a UK freeview box will work in spain ok. it gets its signals from your TV aerial.
in the UK it will pick up the UK digital terrestrial TV channels.
in spain it will pick up the spainish digital terrestrial channels.
BBC and ITV etc are not transmitted by spanish broadcasters.
you will need a satellite dish pointing to Astra 28.2-5 degrees west - normally at least a 1.35m dish would be required - from alicante to valencia the norm is 1.8 - 2.4meters! - and a digital satellite receiver.
or go for one of the illegal rebroadcaster systems

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I live, or rather my daughter lives in an apartment block, so the enormous dish is out of the question. The occupant's of the block are mainly Spanish, so there is unlikely to be a dish on the roof. As I mentioned before, I /she has a satellite dish on the balcony left by previous occupants...(Spanish). Is there any other way around things?
