Friends dilemma about rental

My mate's mate has moved to Calpe to live - He rents out the lower half of the villa for holidays/short term stays etc.

But he is wondering what the best way to get money from clients is? He has to get people to wire him the money or other things like that, but he is wondering how other people do it?

What's the best and cheapest way? Is paypal any good? Is it worth having a UK account and paying in that way?

Cheers

I direct all my rentals through my own website www.hot-villa.com on there i have a page for availability which is populated by my calendar which is on www.rentalsystems.com also known as www.villarenters.com people pay the deposit, the balance and breakage fee on there by credit card. At the end of the rental the breakage fee automatically gets put back onto the credit card unless you have a claim and you can request your money to be transferred into your bank account. It enables me to have one central calendar and manage all bookings whether generated by me or by villarenters, i pay 2% processing fee for the credit card which is deducted before they pay me (this is cheaper than paypal) - if they generate the booking the fee is 10% and includes the credit card processing. All in all it works well for me, i've been using it for many years now - only draw back is their response time is slow if you have problems but eventually they do solve them.

Hope this helps, let me know if you need more info.
