right to access foreign Tv channels in Spain?

it any Eu law but you can only get free to air channels I.E. you can get the free germany channels in spain but can have the (Germany Version off Peirmer ) Digitail Plus in spain ..... the law
A new European law governing television and some internet video content has been approved by the European Parliament. The Audio Visual Media Services Directive must be approved by the Ministers and again by Parliament before coming into force.( that was in 2007 and has been passed

BUT now the law in each country is diffrent again as in every loacl town hall
provision for this facility must be allowed. this would be a dish you chatting about

there would be rules on the size and how many Dish a place can have , you shouold haave a shared Dish system (satellite tv to multiple rooms)

Yes I have heard that to but I dont think its a weapon we can use to allow us to start putting dishes etc all over community buildings without permission. Search the EU site just google EU.........

There are strict building regs here regarding the building project and its communications installations is another area to check out as well.

I have a slightly different slant on it, As part of the Ubanisation formation, there would have been some form of contract for the Communidad de Vecinos, Urbanisacion or similar, and the rules laid down will be quite specific as reqard to attachements to buildings etc , this will not be breaking the law, but complying with the contract you made when purchasing on the ubanisation etc, etc, I come up against it quite often, Usually there is provision made on the urbo, (certainly the newer ones) for a central communication area wherein a large dish can be mounted and distributed to the community, but it is rare.

You may find your only option will be to get some form of Slingbox affair or streaming from a UK Internet provider, (assumes you have broadband).

There are various legislation going thru the EU commission at the moment based on TV free for all, as a right, the basis of this argument is the right of free communication and information throughout the EU, however as always it is not about the legal or moral obligation, but about the commercial benefit to the big companies,

IE The big boys like Sky, Canal, et etc, have paid big sums of money for the right to screen various programmes, IE footie and films etc, and they protect those rights either by encryption(SKY) , or limited strength transmissions to specific target audience areas, (IE the UK for example on BBC/ITV, who reduced the transmission strengths some 4+ years ago to minimum for focussed reception in the UK geographic area. )

Conclusion its normally down to money!!

Again mike you come up very good points , there are Eu laws its still down to loacl town halls and contract for the Communidad de Vecinos

some people over do it with dishs , I.e. some place are not nice with there 3 meter dishs on top off buildings are out off car?cter , but when you get the good boys in to put in a system dishs and Antenas that can be house a way very nice ,

that why mike and myself would be good are are jobs
