Hola,

I’ve been looking into taking a two-week intensive Spanish class before I begin a 9-month long internship. There are a lot of options between many different schools, but I’m unsure of how trustworthy or reputable these schools are. Does anyone have any advice about this? One I have been considering are the Don Quijote schools: http://www.donquijote.org/. Any comments would be much appreciated! Gracias!

hola!
Don Quijote look ok.. large organization but should be geared up for what you want.
I did a months intensive course at this small school in Barcelona - excellent!

In the UK you can go to the Cervantes Institue (I think there are a couple - one in London other in Manchester?)
The official government sponsored school.. Not cheap - but EXCELLENT!

Buena Suerte!

I just did an intensive Spanish course at International House. Google them and check it out. Quite reasonable.

Hi,

I’m looking at doing an 8-12 week intensive Spanish course (20 hours per week). Maybe at International House based on your recommendation. One question I have is after the course what kind of level would my Spanish be at? I would be starting as a beginner

Probably Intermediate, depends, have you learned another language before? Do another 4-8 weeks after that and you’d be at beginner advanced or advanced.
