Hola!
Me, my wife and 2 young children are looking to move to Spain next year. We have been looking at many different options, renting, buying etc. We want to keep our current home in the UK and would prefer to start with a lower cost way of living whilst we test the water. When doing our research we came across mobile homes, does anyone have any experiences they can share with us????
An appealing option as;
* ready made community
* site security
* cost effective
Sounds great in theory, can anyone share their realities?
We love the idea of living in Spain and are also thinking it would be a lower risk way of starting a new chapter in our lives!
Any responses would be greatly appreciated!

Hi I've seen some adds for prefabricated houses down here on the M?laga coast. I can't remember the names of the companies, but it would be casas prefabricadas if you want to google it.

There are three mobile home parks near the town where I live near to, as far as I know they are all occupied by expats, Brits, Dutch and Scandinavian, they all have have facilities such as large swimming pools, bar restaurant, TV etc,
I have done a couple of installations for some of them and not heard of any issues, There are another two parks that I know are in the process of being set up within the same locality so it would appear to be growing in popularity.
I would think also that some of the risks out of buying in the Spanish market are minimised ( IE illegalities etc!)

cheers mike its nice to know that they seem ok. Just out of interest where do you live? the missus has seen one in Benicarlo that she likes the sound of but it doesn't have security. so i'm not sure cause i work away alot and obviosly want the wife and kids to be safe.
Do you know if the ones that you worked at had 24 hour security?
i do like the idea of spending a year there first because of the way the markets are just now, so we can settle ourselves to the way of life and learn the language so that when we do decide to buy we'll be well prepared.
anyway thanks for all the replies, and if anyone know anything about benicarlo could they let me know. We've heard the town is very spanish which we would prefer.
cheers Paul
