Telefonica TV question

I see on the Telefonica website that there are lots of (potentially) English channels such as FOX, History Channel, Discovery, TCM, etc... Does anyone know if these can be watched in English, or are they permanently dubbed in Spanish? I've heard that certain systems have a switch that lets you change the language, and am wondering if this is one of them. Any other suggextions are welcome.
Thanks.

I don't know too much about the system you mention but I do about the switching of other programs.

I have for the past 21 years had a box that switches the programs into their original soundtrack. A few years ago the box broke down and you can't find them thesedays. However, I then bought a dual sound tv which also does the same thing.

At the moment digital tv is being introduced throughout Spain and if you have an analogue tv you need to buy a digital set top box (about 30 to 100 euros) this also switches programs into their original soundtrack.

Don't get too carried away though as in the past Spanish tv companies (Canal 9) used to transmit both soundtracks on their programs, nowadays they only transmit about 30% (approx') in dual sound. On the plus side more tv companies are transmitting dual sound so with a lot of surfing it's easy to find programs in English.

Most films are transmitted in both languages but sometimes human error forgets to flick the switch and occasionally a film or series that you know is in English will end up in Spanish on rare occasions. Don't give up on them though because after a minute or so they usually flick the switch and English comes on.

So far (relying on memory) the tv companies transmitting dual sound are:

Canal 9
Punt 2
TVE 1
TVE 2
Sony Entertainment Channel
Not sure if Cuatro are doing (bad memory).

We rarely go without something to watch in English.

Most films at the weekend are in English and the gits play them all at the same time so if you are a real film buff then you'd need to record the others.
