Hi There folks. Newbee today planning on moving out shortly with family.
Does anyone know if thier is much demand for british bus drivers in andalucia area would only hopefully be a quick fix to get income coming until getting settled.

In a word no.
There are plenty of Spanish/English speaking natives doin the Holiday tourist stuff, as they no the area, have the correct qualifications etc etc.
For private sector operators doin the schools run again there isn`t a shortage of nationals.
For public sector you would need to pass your Oposiciones exam.
To be able to train as a bus driver both public and private you would need to prove you studied up to Spains ESO level exam, which is there compulsary Secondary education exam.
Then you would need to train for 405 hours which includes 100 hrs of lectures, 280 hrs practice and 25 hrs evaluation.The course is divided into 7 modules that also include vehicle repair.When you`ve passed you then get the class D card.The authorities don`t recognise outside qualifications, all drivers are required to take the 405hrs training.
Fluent Spanish language & literacy would be required, to quiet a high level.
