Drivers licence renewal. Which way to go.

I would appreciate any advice or suggestions on the following.

I have lived in Spain for many years and have driven my car using my UK licence endorsed by traffico. To my horror today I discovered that it expired a month ago when I reached 70. I really do not know which way I should go in order to get a new licence. Do I try and apply for a new one from the DVLC in Swansea or apply to traffico for a Spanish one. I have residencia.

If there is an expat out there who has had to make this decision or can help me make the right move I really would appreciate hearing from you.
