Summer Schools - hard work?

Hi all,
I'm giving some thought to coming over to Spain and teaching in a summer school next summer. Never done it before but have always liked the idea. I guess i'm mainly just trying to get a idea of what it's really like, and especially, how much like hard work is it?! I ask not out of laziness, but out of having a 15,000-word masters thesis to write over next summer! I don't think this will take up all my time and it seems a shame to confine myself to the UK because of it, but I would need 2 or 3 days a week ideally to work on it. So any tales of what teaching at a summer school was like for any of you who may have done it, would be great.

Also,
- Can you recommend any good schools to teach at/apply to?
- Would I get away with just having a weekend TEFL certificate?

Many thanks for your help...

Yes if anyone could recommend a good Summer school it would be very much appreciated, I really want to go off to Spain as soon as I can and I think a Summer time job would be perfect.

Thanks
