EU RULING ON UK TV IN SPAIN

from the eec directive they quote:


> Whereas it is necessary, in the common market, that all broadcasts emanating from and intended for reception within the Community and in particular those intended for reception in another Member State, should respect the law of the originating Member State applicable to broadcasts intended for reception by the public in that Member State and the provisions of this Directive;


I read this to say that "sky" can legally, bound by the copyright and contractual laws of the UK law, restrict the movement of their content...

he has not written about the section in 89/552/eec subsection 2 b 5 covering broadcasters copyright permission in the eu, which allows the broadcasters to restrict viewing cards and reception of channels.

been away for few day in the UK at brodcasting forum and we chat about the headlines off RT ,

Having digested the latest Directive 2007/65 on the matter of ?Television without frontiers? within the EU, It was decided to seek a 2nd reasoned legal opinion from Brussels. "

Not going two happen , why cost to much and end up losting you good programs like corrie and eastenders due copyrights and acters rights
Sky have rights two brodcast to uk , Ireland for moives football and so on , but not in Mainland Euro Zone , ... all down two copyrights

some one in the newspaper over shot the gun and didnt read the odd 500 page off the file ....

Jurdy, you got it in one, if SKY cant make a buck it aint gonna happen, To obtain broadcast rights over EU would cost and arm and somebody else's leg... nevermind the legal barriers the competition will put up,
