Learning spanish for free

So, I have lived here in Spain the last 5 years. I have had my 3 month courses and speak an "ok" Spanish but not nearly good enough to get into a deep conversation and thus, becoming comfortable around Spanish people.
I speak English, and I am sure there are some Spanish persons out there that would like to learn English.
So I would like to get in contact with someone who would like to use 5 hours pr. week, shifting between English and Spanish so we both learn something.
I just don't know where to find anyone who would like to do this.
Does anyone here have some ideas?

If you live in Barcelona, there is lingobongo.com for language intercambio. If not, there is loquo.com . Loquo is like the craigs list of Spain.

Well Ive managed to enroll on the free spanish courses that are provided by the local college. All I needed was my NIE and a form to fill out. There are many estranjeros where I am, although I'm the only english person, there are many africans, middle eastern, romanians.
Im not sure if its just me being lucky with the area I'm in that just happens to provide this servive, or whether this is a national initiative to promote spanish language learning for new immigrants and expats alike.

Hello,i have been learning spanish on line for free for about a month now with www.busuu.com.This site is interactive with other language learners helping each other. The course is based in Madrid, has been running for a little over two years with nearly half a million users worldwide. There is a premium membership for around 10 euros a month. This is for more advanced spanish.I have not signed up to this at the moment but may do so in the future. So check it out if you wish, after all it's free.
A good day to you all.

Learning the language is so important especially if you are relocating/retiring in another country. If you know their native language it would not be hard to adopt their culture, lifestyle and the people. The society will accept you easily and recognize you as part of their community. Language wouldn't be the barrier for change.
anyway it's very easy to learn spanish because their language is not that complicated and the vocabularies are understandable.
