Are there any Voip services in Spain?

VoIP - being what it is - isn't really tied to a country. Do you mean voip or calling card services? VoIP requires either a VoIP phone (ethernet or wifi and ADSL), some software on your PC or an app on a smartphone (like Fring and a data-service).

VoIP phones are still fairly expensive and not really consumer focussed - but can be like the standard desktop phones or cordless like the DECT phones.

There are some people offering cheap Android mobiles & home phones - the great thing about this is you can easily sync your existing google contacts (or your other contacts) and install apps onto the phones - to enable VoIP. Just keep an eye open for the version of Android - 2+ is better but many have 1.5 still.

Yeah, heard about those Android phones. Are they really good? I'm asking before I actually buy one cause after all I've been said this OS is relatively new compared to the others (symbian, iPhone's OS, windows mobile).

Android itself is pretty decent and while there's less apps available for it than with the iPhone - you can find pretty much all you usually need without the associated costs.
Just ensure it comes with Android 2+ - ideally 2.2 but 2.1 is ok. Android 2.2 is the latest - so if you're looking at a phone - check the manufacturer for any information about when they plan to update it.

In the next month or so - they'll be a ton of Android tablets hitting the market. They're all based off an NVidia chipset that's just entering production volumes - hence all hitting the market at the same time.

To get the best use out of VoIP I use a SIP enabled router. That's a router that you plug a normal telephone into but with a little jiggery pockery (techie speak) it can route calls over the Internet.

There's less convenient ways like a VoIP USB phone connected to a computer, a SIP dialer installed on a computer but for me a standard cordless phone plugged into my router does the trick.

If you have ADSL (Internet with at least 6MB) you can use your smartphone or your PC to use VoipWise to make cheap calls to UK.

The voice clarity from vopium is great and they are rates are relatively affordable. You can use a voip enabled headset like the ones we use for skpe and these are called softphones.
