Young Student moving to Barcelona

Hello Everyone

I am a 20 yr old female applying for acceptance into the University of Barcelona as well as keeping my options for another universities open. I wish to study Cultural and Social Anthropology there and eventually become a resident of Spain. As of now I am patiently waiting for the Selectividad testing in my country to roll around while I study.

What I'm looking for is crucial prep advice that is why I joined this forum, I want to be as prepared mentally and physically as I can. So any advice that you would have is greatly appreciated especially about housing in Ciutat Vella, BCN lifestyles, and the Catalan language.
