I've just moved to Spain from the UK where I taught in secondary schools and want to teach English here. To teach in schools in the UK, you need a Criminal Records Bureau check before you can begin working. Does anyone know if that's required in Spain too, and if so, how do you go about getting one? In the UK the forms are sent to you with your contract when you get the job, but here I'll be self-employed.
I'd be grateful for any advice.
Many thanks.

I'm not sure, but there's no harm in bringing yours with you from the UK. Here it's called the Certificado Anticedentes Penales. It's really easy to get - takes about 10 working days and costs 5 euros or so. There are various ways of applying for it too.
