Hello, my name is Geoff, i am from Virginia currently living is Panama. My girlfriend and I are moving to Spain in March and we are planning on getting married (yay). I know that I have to registered in municipality of the place of where we are going to live to get the NIE and all of that. She is from Holland, so she is a member of the EU so she has no problem in living there. Off course, i have a problem. The U.S embassy in Spain and in Panama are NOT helpful at all. If some one is kind enough to provide any info regarding the visa process and the NIE, that would be fantastic and extremely appreciated. Hope to here from someone soon…..

Hey Geeoff, where will you live in Spain?

we are you going to be living in Altea in the Costa Blanca. To add to my first post, in Spain they require proof that I have not been married before, how ever, where i come from, they don’t really do that. The Fairfax County circuit court told me that I had to write a document up myself and they would notarize it, so they were not very helpful either. It would be great if I could be pointed in the right direction.
