Hi, am hoping that someone out there can help me.

My Dad recently passed away, he lived in France and has two dogs that we would like to bring home to Spain to live with us.  They brought in France and have only ever lived there.  They are micro-chipped and have had their rabies jab.  Could someone advise on any legalities needed to travel over the border from France to Spain or is the above enough.  We have no intentions of ever returning to UK so would not need a passport.

Hi Alicia;
Not quite sure of what the rules are now but the UK Issued Pet Passport is requuired for the movement of pets to/from the UK.
There is however, also an EU Issued Pet Passport which would appear to be a requirement for the free movement of Pets throughout the EU. I would suggest your bst bet would be to talk to a French vet and see if he can arrange things for you.
The rules appear to be the same as the UK; Microchip, current Rabies shots + blood tests, plus the usual shots and worming/parasite treatments.
