...and they called a referendum on UK membership of the EU. (They have kind of promised this)
The inevitable result likely to be a massive majority for pulling out.
My question…what would be the effect on the hundreds of thousands of Brit expats loiving and working in Spain?
We?d no longer be ERU members, so would lose our automatic right to live here and work here.
We would probably lose, or have massively restricted, our rights to health care, pensions payable here in Spain?
Loss of voting rights, border-free travel…likely to go as well?
Has anyone done a through imp?ct study of the changes thyat would be forced on us if the UK votes out?
Woild be interesting to know this when we consider which UK `party to vote for next time.

Well If the Tories did this then the Citizens That Voted Tories deserves everything it gets.

At this moment in time The Brits are fine to travel we do not have to go through the lengthy process of Visa / Permit Applications Like the people from outside Europe… We get EU Health Insurance and so on…
God knows what would happen to me and others if this system was to go.

We be like the many outsiders of the European Union asking the same questions as some members on here i.e. How To Get Visas Permits So on?.

However I am not a Political Person, but when a President, Royal Member and a Politician Say This a “Free World” or “Live Your Dreams” I would love to see the “Free World” Be really free to travel!

I sent the following email to Edited email jurdy I will let you know of any response.

Dear Mr Cameron,
I believe there are something in excess of 850,000 UK voters currently living or working or retired in other EU member states.
On our web forums and blogs etc, we have started to discuss what a Conservative voctory in the next UK General Election might mean for us.
If you bow to pressure to hold a referendum on UK membership of the EU, and the UK electorate vote for withdrawal from the Union, what will be the position of UK residents living in EU states?
Gone will be our entitlement to reciprocal health care, pensions and social secutiry in our adopted countries. Gone will be our right to live and work on an equal footing with other EU nationals anywhere in the Union.
These 850,000 UK nationals living in other EU countries are starting to feel worried. And we do have votes in the UKGeneral ERlection.
I should bve gatreful for your thoughts on (a) The liklihood of a referendum on UK membership of the EU and (2) Your assessment on the impact of a withdrawl decision on the lives and economic propsects of UK nationals living, working or retired in EU countries, should the UK cease to be an EU member.
Many thanks for ytour time and I look forward to your response
