I have been working here in Barcelona for the past 2 years, and i have changed apartments on a numerous amount of times,

However when i moved from one apartment to another.. I seem to have lost my documentation. My certificate of residency, my certificate of NIE.. everything..

Thankfully i had secured a contract with a company before i lost them.

I have my social security number in order to work,

But I’m concerned as i dont know what to do about the documents i have lost.. Can anyone help, or reassure me??

You need to replace them ASAP by returning to the issuing offices. Good Luck!

Do you have a note of the number?  I’ve been asked for my NIE number several times, but nobody has ever asked to see the certificate - I’ve just written the number down or filled it in online or whatever.

Ya i have the number memorised..

But i’m based in barcelona, and in order to qualify for the Heath Service (CatSalut) i must provide a photocopy of the empradreimento..(or somthing)..

So would it be possible to get a second copy??

You should be able to get as many copies of the Padron as you need from the town hall where you are registered.

Hi every one please Help!!! I need my NIC number to apply for a police certificate , to show that i have not any criminal records for when i lived in Spain 30 years ago! I want to get married in Us and for that i have get police certificate from all the countries which i spend some time, more than six months. I lived in Madrid and studied between 1980 to 1985 and i can not remember any number but i know i used to get yearly authorisation from the police office. I have asked my embassy to apply for the police certificate and they need my NIC number/ residence number!! The embassy can’t help me to find the number, any suggestion?
i was hoping to get married in June latest in August, but by the look at it i wont be able to get fiance visa from US embassy without the Spainsh police certificate. I have given my notice at work but none of the plans has gone right and i am very stressed and frustrated, any suggestion is appreciated.
