Hi, I?m having trouble with healthcare as I don?t fit into any of the usual categories..

I?m self-employed in the UK (paying income tax and National insurance there).  We have a house in England and we are renting in Spain.  I?m 27 weeks pregnant with twins and have been advised by my private midwife here in Spain that it will be safer to deliver in state hospital as local private hospitals aren?t as well equipped to deal with complicated deliveries.
I won?t qualify for a SIP card as I don?t work here - but I believe may need an E106 form allow me to register with the matrona and the hospital here for my delivery.

Does anyone have any idea what I need to do?

Hi

I have just found your thread and was wondering how you got on with your twins.  I hope the birth went well!  I also do not fit into the same categories as you with regards to healthcare in Spain.  We are looking to start a family here soon as well and I am looking for any information on the best way to give birth here in Spain when I do not qualify for state healthcare.

regards
