Hi all, very new to this site, just joined. Trace and Gaff are our names. Looking for as much info on getting to costa blanca as possible. House going up for sale, our business we are closing down. Will be driving from west yorkshire to either Plymouth or Portsmouth, then on ferry to Santander. Driving from there with our dog and 20 year old son. Need jobs or start a business?? And cheap cheap rental ground floor apartment/villa/bungalow!!!!!!!!! Any ideas? Does this sound daft?  thanks.

Best of luck with everything… there are some good value rentals around but very very few jobs to be had, so I would make that a priority unless you can support yourselves for a prolonged time searching.  Where abouts on the Costa are you headed?  We live in Javea which is lovely.  We are in the UK for the summer and did the ferry up a couple weeks ago with the car and kids, it was fine,

Re the dog - lots of info elsewhere on this site about vaccs and pet passports etc - just flagging up as you need to start the process very early,

thanks for that!  Yeah I hear there is approx 4 mill unemployed in spain!! Thats not good, I think we will probably set up a business, not sure what yet. Going to get ideas from thsi site. Ferry trip sounds ok. Dog passport Ive been reading up on this. NIC We net to get at the Police station when we arrive, that also takes time. Thanks again xxx

Hate to be the one to tell you but you got no chance.

Expats with a few years in Spain are heading back due to no business/work.

It was hard pre crisis, now Spain being the worst hit in the EU is almost impossible.

There isn`t an idea on the planet that hasn`t been tried in Spain.
