I hope some one may be able to help. My neighbour has asked me if I can find out if her husband can obtain drugs for his illness here.
They live here on and off but now wish to live here nearly all of the year.
She is retired age 60. The husband is not retired but unable to work through severe heart problems.
If they live in Spain is it possible for him to obtain his prescriptions through her being retired.
He will not be of retirement age for another 2 years.
I am not well up on this subject to advise her. I hope someone can.
She is in the UK at this moment and needs to know, so that when she comes back she can handle the change properly.
Thank you.

Contact the DHSS re Form E106. This is valid for up to two years prior to retirement and can be in both parties names. It allows you to register with the Spanish Health Authorities under the reciprocal health schemes and ensures that prescription drugs or the Spanish equivalent are available via the doctor you register with.

Thank you for your quick response, I can now send these details to her in the UK.
I must say that one can learn something new every day, thanks to this site.
