Hello I?m Alex and first i come here as tourist a week ago…but…now I found out that i really like Spain and would like to try summer job. Nothing new under the sun 😊 I?ve made my resume…posted on internet…and got today my first call. A nice lady makes the presentations, ask me about my curent position if I?m employed etc etc. we agread that I am perfect for the job until she asked me about the papers to work :( ......what papers? First i thought she was talking about my passport or my ID card…..but nope. What papers do I need to work in Spain and how do I get them?

If you are from an european community country, you only needa passport and maybe an N.I.E. number, obtained from your local police station, usually takes two weeks, though some do it instantly. Your new employer takes care of everything else, registerering you with the social security system. Maybe it was a scam and she will be asking for payment ‘to take care of the paperwork’....
