Hello there,

I have recently moved to Spain from Sunny Manchester.  I have Spanish parents and may look Spanish but I was born in bred in Manchester.  You could say I am Spanglish!

I am working for a bank over here so if I can help any of you with any Spanish banking queries, please feel free to contact me and I will try my best.

Also does anyone know of any local football teams/leagues in the Malaga region??

Un Saludo
Manu

Hi Manu,

I recently wrote an article on the site about sports in spain. It doesn’t have anything particularly about Malaga but it has some good information and also points you to other links that might help you more specifically. Check it out.

Let me know if you have any other questions about it….And I might hit you up on that bank offer at some point!

Have a great day.

Hi to Manu,
We are currently in Preston but want to move to Spain in the very near future.
Could you tell me what the procedure is to opening a Spanish bank account.
By the way it is still raining in sunny Preston almost as common as in Manchester.
Thanks for any help.
Evos

Hi. That’s good to know about the bank account thank you. I’m just wondering if you need a work visa as well as a passport or if you can just use a passport?
Thanks a lot!

Hi thank you! ....However I failed to mention that I’m a Canadian. I think it might be a bit harder on that front….not sure though.

Yur right but i think you will need visa and passport, check with the embassy. Should not be
to hard they like people opening accounts out there. Where you heading? inland or coast.
