Hi Guillermo

You need to get the Birth Certificate of your grandfather. If you know exactly when and where (year month, town etc) when he was born you can probably negotiate acquiring a birth certificate from the Internet or (plus a few phone calls) Just look up the website of the Municipio or Ayuntamiento in Tenerife where your grand father was born. If you do not, then you would have to gather all the info you do have and do what I did with my mother, physically go to Canaries and look for the town and the Municipio and try to complete the picture.  By the way, Tenerife is so falling down gorgeous the trip is well worth it. Good luck, Buena suerte!
