It’s a big area and most towns and even small villages will have schools.
Try googling long term lets Malaga, I’m sure you will find hundreds.

Good Luck

Hi Polly,

My husband and I and our two daughters aged 6 and 2 are hoping to move to Spain within the next 12-18 months. We would be looking at Estepona area as my husband would hopefully be gaining employment in Gibralter.

I am very keen on the idea but my husband is just concerned about jobs. Like your husband he has a very good job here - he works in IT as a Project Manager. There seems to be jobs available in Gib so we are going out again for a week in October so he can have a chat to the agencies out there and we can have a look at the schooling situation.

I understand you go to the Town Hall in the area you wish to live in to find out about the school.

We would be sending our girls to a local Spanish school as we would want them to mingle and become as Spanish as possible and at their ages they should pick it up within a year hopefully.

Let me know how you get on and good look with your re-search.

Hi there

WE are moving to spain in January and we first looked at Malaga Area but found it is quite expensive - we were very helpfully advised by a few people to look at Costa Blanca area, where the cost of living is cheaper and proerty is a good bit cheaper too.
Although I still like the look of Malaga - Mijas etc I am very happy with our decision now as partly financial reasons we are doing it.
My hubbie also will commute back and forth to the UK so I will spend some time alone.
Do loads of research and make sure you find the right place.
Its good coming on these Forums as you meet loads of really nice people and I have already got 3 Friends in the Area where I am going to live, all of the same age (30)ish and all with kids going to the same school, so once I get out there I have people I can go and see for some company!
Good luck with your research!
If I was you I would not think about it for too long, you only live once!!

be for now

Hi we moved to spain in May this year with our four daughters 15,13,11 and 9.  The eldest is going to an international school in Malaga but the other three are going to the local school.  We live in a small village about an hour from Malaga.  It was very easy to register the children in the school.  We chose the village as we wanted a quieter and safer lifestyle for our children and it is living up to our expectations.  We have set up a pizza restaurant in the village and it is doing ok with predominantly spanish eating there which is good.

Good luck with your search.  It maybe that you will have to visit Malaga and visit schools etc.

Regards

Good Evening,

I saw your ad on the internet about you having plans to move to Spain and looking for a job. What exactly are you looking for. Are you interested in starting your own company or want to work for others.
Or maybe even a franchise.
Let me know, I might have something for you.

Warm greeting from the sunny south of Spain
