Just wondering if you could give me some answers to living in Nerja.
We were originally thinking of moving to Benalmadena but a neighbour of ours in the UK said Nerja was a lovely place to go (he has a holiday villa there).
I have been doing some research and it looks like it has everything we wanted.
Do you have a family as I am need to know the procedure for registering the kids (10 and 12) in a state school and I know it varies from region to region.
I have sent an email to the Foreigners Dept of the Nerja town hall but I am not expecting a reply as they are all probably too busy with several hundreds of other wannabe Spaniards.
Any info you could give me would be much appreciated or if anyone else living in Nerja has anything to tell me.

I don’t have a family but I do know others who have so I will ask them what the proceedure is 😊

The Foreigners Dept is a busy place as you’d imagine so I wouldn’t hold out for a swift response. In case you havent seen it this is the official website for Nerja: http://www.nerja.org/  or http://www.nerja.org/juventud/index.php It starts off in spanish but there are quite a few pages in english. Or you could use Google to translate - comes out a bitty weird but you’ll get the general idea of what is going on 😉
