Hi folks,

Sorry just found this bit, after posting some queries in the Moving and Lifestyle forums, it seemed only polite to introduce myself now!

We are a family of 4 (daughters currently 2 and 7 yrs), + 1 cat, hoping to relocate to the Costa Blanca in summer 08.  This is a voluntary move - I run an internet based business that can operate from anywhere we can get the technology in place - for us its all about a lifestyle choice:  wanting to live in a more family-focussed culture, with a warmer climate, lower living costs, and where children are regarded as a blessing not a problem!

Its a very exciting time for us, trying to research where to go, where to live etc… we’re coming out (without the girls) in November to visit some schools and look at some rental properties etc (planning to rent for at least a year incidentally, so whilst I would really welcome any private messages that might be able to help us re rentals, please note we are not potential property customers as yet!)  Our areas we are looking at are largely focussed round schooling, we feel we need to go private as our eldest is quite sensitive and shy and isn’t learning Spanish as fast as we’d hoped - for the first year at least we will put her in private school, so she doesnt have to cope with being taught in Spanish on top of the move itself… longer term I would rather she was educated in the community we live in rather than an isolated part of it so we’ll see!  But currently we are focussing in 2 main areas, within a 20 minute drive of either Mar Azul or Xabia IC respectively.  Will we end up North or South I wonder? Don’t really know the north at all at present though it looks lovely, I am wondering how the cost of living compares..?

Anyway, nuff waffle on here for now just wanted to say hi and stuff.  Would love to hear from any parents in the region, letting agents, anyone who can tell us more (and hopefully that we’re not deranged, as most of my family seem to think, to want to uproot our lives in search of the dream…!)

I don’t know whether my last reply went out, I am just finding my way around this web site!
We need help to find a great place to relocate to from Bermuda, we have 2 boys, a cat and a dog!
we ideally would like a lovely area with a nice school, and we are looking for jobs too.
We don’t really know where to start with all this but are hoping to be out there by 08 July.
Thanks for any help to get us started!
