Hi,

Can any body tell me how linient is Spain Embassy in India to grant full 90 days tourist visa?

I will be travelling to Spain for official purpose on business visa. My visa processing is being done by my employer. The invitation from the customer from Spain is already there and hence I believe my visa will surely be grated.

I am worried about my family’s visa. Since my spouse and child are totaly dependent on me and will be left alone here in India, I have clubbed their tourist visa application with my business visa application. Their visa is not being sponsored by my employer. I am bearing all their expenses on my own. Even on the invitation letter the family is not mentioned. I have written a covering letter myself for my wife’s and child’d visa application. I have filled their visa application form for similar duration i.e. 90 days.

Can anyone tell me how much possibility is that their visa will also be granted? Has anyone from India or anywhere else taken his/her family along to spain for full 3 months?

People here are telling that Spain embassy does not provide tourist visa for more than one month though they claim that spanish touris visa can be granted for 90 days maximum. I have clearly mentioned in the covering letter that I need to take my family along as they are my dependent and it will become a very cumbersome situation if they are left alone behind as my child is only 9 months old and my wife may not be able to take care of her all alone.

Any info in this regard is highly appreciated.

Thanks

HI,
This problem is not a very usual one, so I suppose this is why you do not receive any feedback. Spanish embassies and other Schengen countries are usually very reticent if the applicants do not have a very good and solid reason to come back to there country of origin. Of course, if you do ask visas for all your family members this will seam suspect… and the idea that you may not want to go back to India will for sure come up.  If the visas are denied, do not hesitate to as for recurs, because otherwise they will have the the confirmation that there was intent of fraud ad you probably never will get a visa in the future.
