I’m new to this site and have found the information on here really helpful.
I just had a couple of questions relating to obtaining an NIE number.
I have had a look on many websites and they have all said that an NIE can only be issued if you are in the process of buying a property/ have had a formal job offer/or are dealing with any legal issues in Spain.
I would like to obtain an NIE number before moving to Spain and before looking for employment has anyone done this this way? Am I still able to get one issued? Or do I really need one of the above reasons to apply?
Also if I do move over without one of the above reasons, do I have to provide proof of wealth/income if I would’nt be working?
