Hi

We are a family of 5 who have recently moved to the Denia area.

We have 3 teenage children at the Ondara school and one at Maria Ibars at Denia.  We would love to meet people of any nationality in this area and to make friends so that our family can settle.

We are seeking work in the Denia/Javea area (property management/sales/lettings, general maintenance, driving (HGV level 2) customer service type roles) and are considering buying a business in that area so if anyone has any leads, or suggestions, please let me know.

We are also lookng for a long term rental property and ideally a rent to buy.  When we moved out we decided to retain our UK home (just in case) so cannot buy at the moment but we will want to buy in a year or so.  We need a 3-4 bed villa, townhouse near to Denia/Javea and the woman of the family (ie me) is anally houseproud and really into gardening, so we would DEFINITELY be good tenants for you!

As a family, we are into horses, dogs, football, drama, dancing, family stuff, so would really like to join clubs or groups involved in these activities.  Does anyone have anything going along these lines?

We also want to learn Spanish - and would love to get the details of a good Spanish teacher or even someone local who would want to swap their Spanish for our (muy bien) English!!

Also, we need a good orthodontist - any clues. as we have 2 kids with wonky teeth who need urgent attention??

Please get in touch if you know the area and can help us at all!!  We are nice, I promise, and really want to integrate into the expat AND Spanish communities so really want to hear from you!!

Thanks

Julie, Gary and the kids!!

Hi Julie, Gary & Kids!

Happy to hear about your move to Denia / Javea region - I have been there once and think it’s a beautiful part of Spain. I come from the Costa del Sol, near to the Nerja region and that is pretty nice too of course!

I read with interest that you are looking for work and although I cant help with the property management sector, I can with the Publishing sector!

What I do is franchise my local magazine to different parts of Spain. We have 5 editions across the country now and we are looking for suitable candidates to launch The Sentinella in Denia and Javea now.

We did have a couple who were previously interested in that area, but they ended up making the decision to move back to New Zealand as their children didnt like Spain - think they missed their friends too much. Although, obviously it does take time befroe they make new ones.

Anyway, if you get a chance check out my web page: http://www.thesentinella.com for more info if you are interested

Hi Julie, Gary and Kids.

Nice to hear you got out there how is it going, is it all you expected.  You see people on the forum and then when they get out to Spain you don’t hear
anymore, hope it all worked out well for you.  We are moving out on March 1st 2009 to the Xativa area inland from Gandia.  we have been
out 4 times this year and went to Denia on our last trip for a meal, it looked very nice. I am moving out on my own with my son of 9 to start with
and then my husband will come out later.  We are keeping our house in the uk too and have rented a villa for a year while everything around the world sorts
itself out.  Maybe if I get down to Denia we could meet up at some point to swap stories.

Anyway all the best for your new life
