I am currently waiting for my tarjeta de residencia, but urgently need to travel abroad?  I dont have NIE number yet. In the police they gave me only one form to fill, which was X-16 (solicitud de Certificado de registro como residente comunitario o Trajeta de residencia de familiar de ciudadano de la Union). However, here on the forum I read that tarjeta and NIE are about two different applications and I can receive NIE much earlier than card itself. My question is - what to do now if I need to go out of Spain? Can I apply for autorizacion de regreso without having neither NIE nor card? What I have in my hands now is just a stamped copy of X-16 form and to receive a response from police I have to wait 4-5 months. Please advice!!!!!

Card of residence is only for people that are Spanish people or People From Outside the Eu…...

Renew Your Visa or Wait until the documents arrive there is no way round it… if you have not seen recently Guardia Civil, Policia National & Police Local are all doing random Stop checks here in Catalonia (Salou) every night they make Stop Checks at road points to check Documents.

So there is no way round this really….

Does anyone know if autorizacion de regreso allows you multiple in-and-outs of the Spain or is it only for a single return to Spain?
