We are having to sell our wonderful Mercedes VITO van!

We brought it over with us from the UK where we had it as our family ‘car’ - it has had loads of work done on it as we just never intended to sell it. Replacement engine, gearbox, brakes renewed, respray, turbo charger - the list is huge. We wanted a hassle free existence over here in Spain so all the work was done as we also knew it would not rust away in the good weather and would last us years.

Then we met the ITV station when trying to convert it to Spanish plates. They have effectively told us we cannot have a RHD panel van registered on Spanish plates. This means we either operate illegally (when the MOT runs out in December) which we are not going to do, or we sell it. We are very upset by this as we have no wish to sell our reliable and very handy utility vehicle, but rules are rules!

Therefore we either drive it back to the UK, or sell it to someone here who is heading back to the UK and wants something they can use for the journey and then use back in the UK or sell on and recoup their outlay.

It is a 1999 Vito 108TDi, white panel van with the barn doors (with windows) in the rear. Tow bar, resprayed 2 years ago, reliable with MOT January next year and UK taxed.

Sensible offers please over 2000 euros!

thanks
