I am a Canadian citizen wanting to move to Spain. I have asked at my consulate about the possibility of a long term non-lucrative visa. The feedback I got from them is that in order to qualify for such a visa, i would have to be millionaire. I am not! So, that is not a possibility.

However, I know that there are other types of visa, such as business etc..

So, I am looking for a lawyer that would help me to process a residencia for Spain.

Thanks!

Hello,

I am also a Canadian and looking for a lawyer to help with a work/residence visa as well. My fiance and I are returning to Canada in March with the hope of returning to Barcelona in September, so ideally I wanted to start the process while I was back. I have a potential employer willing to fill out the documentation needed to help me get back, but I am finding even that very complicated! Things are not as organized as they are in Canada! But of course I really want to come back to Barcelona, so I’m willing to jump through the hoops… I should have started this process a year ago.

If anyone can help, there is a tapas dinner in it for you!

I speak, read and write Spanish with near fluency so when I consulted an immigration lawyer, I didn’t seek out someone who was fluent in English. I do not know if you require someone who speaks English or if you are just seeking someone competent.

In any case, the following lawyer was recommended to me by a Canadian because he is both reliable and because he speaks English:

Salgado Abogados

good luck.
